Togo

70 Children
Funds needed: $7000

Togo is a small country in West Africa, which is bordered by Benin and Ghana (U.S. State Department). It is primarily a French-speaking country with a total population of 6,410,000. The literacy rate for youth aged 15-24 is 84% for males and 64% for females. The children of Togo face threats related to human trafficking, sexual exploitation, the spread of HIV/AIDS and violence due to political and social unrest (via UNICEF)

We have been working in Togo for five years. Our first year there were only two students that we sponsored.
