Liberia is a country on the coast of West Africa that has a population of 3,441,790.  It’s people speak English and many other ethnic group languages.  The major religions are Christianity, Islam and indigenous beliefs.  The literacy rate is 73.3% for males and 41.6% for females (CIA World Factbook).  It is estimated that at least 500,000 of Liberia’s children do not attend school.  The children of Liberia face issues such as high poverty rates, a 15% infant mortality rate, malnutrition and preventable diseases (UNICEF).

CFE has partnered with Liberia for 3 years.  We began with 10 kids.
