Burma, also known as Myanmar, is a country in southeastern Asia with a population of 48,137,741. It’s people speak primarily Burmese, and the major religion is Buddhism. Many of Myanmar’s schools are overcrowded and in great need of funding. Children in Myanmar live with the reality of threats such as internal displacement due to ethnic genocide, human trafficking, malnutrition, and lack of access to clean water (via UNHCR).
Our associate Pastor (from Burma) who resides in Saint Louis MO attending Seminary. He will be returning to Burma next year to begin training missionaries and planting churches throughout Burma. He will also be the coordinator of CFE. There is a family associated with the church in the Chin state of Burma who has taken in 7 orphans who CFE now sponsors to attend school. By next school year CFE will be starting in the city of with 13 students.
